Not sure who still reads these, but at my level (Major), the power hits from Overminds and Rogue Battlecruisers are almost always lethal with my Goliath Mech V2. I was wondering how effective the Level 3 Energy Shield is compared to the armors costing millions.
Thoughts?

UPDATE
Was under the impression that Goliath Mech V2 (GVM2) only had flat damage reduction, compared to the L3 Energy Shield's absorb half damage effect.
Did some testing on my own and the GMV2 does have the same effect of absorbing half damage from all attacks applied after the flat damage reduction. Power hits are just a fairy to deal with. | |

I find as lesser deity or detiy using Energy shield works fine. But ya, the power hits can be brutal. Don't rank up way too fast unless you can get some money for a good weapon. | |

Any advice on which ranks I should stay and farm on? Currently using Flak Cannon, Goliath Mech V2 at Lieutenant Colonel. | |
